135 Plymouth Street

Brooklyn, NY

135 Plymouth Street is a 100 unit, 210,000 square foot live/work loft building in Brooklyn’s historic DUMBO district.  Located along the East River waterfront, it is comprised of four interconnected buildings constructed at the turn of the century as a machinery and metal product factory.

MHA designed the historic restoration of the building’s façade to conform to environmental noise and historic district criteria as part of the conversion of the building to residential lofts.  The project includes development of high performance acoustic window systems that meet stringent Office of Environmental Remediation acoustic criteria and Landmark Preservation Commission requirements.
