CarbonLITE Plastics Recycling

Muhlenberg Township, PA

CarbonLITE is a private plastics recycling operation, which includes collection of post-consumer PET bottles from curbside programs and deposit collection centers. Their “bottle-to-bottle” approach conserves virgin resources, reduces landfill use and capitalizes on the energy already invested in making existing plastic products.

MHA designed their new 270,000 square foot building in Muhlenberg Township, PA to serve the northeast market. This building – the third of its kind in the country and the largest to date – is a state-of-the-art next-generation recycling facility.
