Crown, Cork and Seal, founded in 1892, has evolved into the No. 2 manufacturer of aluminum beverage cans worldwide. Crown promotes “Silver is the New Green” – the aluminum can is the most recycled beverage package in the world.
MHA designed Crown’s 529,000 square foot manufacturing facility for the production of infinitely and 100 percent recyclable aluminum beverage cans – the first facility of its kind built in the U.S. in the last 40 years.
The facility was designed to integrate five advanced production lines capable of producing 2,800 cans per minute.
The site plan and facility design incorporate the potential for an 90,000 square foot future expansion.
