International Air Cargo Center

Newark - Liberty International Airport

The International Air Cargo Center (IACC) is a multi-tenant air cargo facility designed with ULD and operations support space to meet air cargo carrier handling system and service standards.  Comprised of two buildings, it is located at Liberty International Airport in Newark, NJ and is owned by the Port Authority of NY and NJ.

MHA master planned the site and designed the two buildings as Class A structures providing a 50 year service life.

Building I:

191,000 square feet including 164,000 square feet of general ULD cargo area, 27,000 square feet of admin operations space, and an Elevated Transport Vehicular (ETV) material handling system.

Building II:

78,500 square feet of multi-tenant warehouse space with 16,000 square feet of administrative operations space.

MHA provided architectural design services in conjunction with Thornton Tomasetti providing structural and MEP design.

Avitat Aviation Facility

MHA designed this two-phased renovation and expansion of two wings of an existing hangar facility.  Phase I consisted of 24,000 square feet of hangar space, with a newly expanded two-story lean-to shop and office, a new terminal space and approximately 8,500 square feet of multi-tenant office space.
