Metrograph Berlin

Berlin, Germany

Adaptive reuse and conversion of an existing building and site in downtown Berlin. The site is at a crossroads of two major avenues bounding a commercial district with a public park. The complex is nestled into the landscape and integrated into the urban fabric of the city.

The design includes two standalone buildings, one new two story theater complex with an 83 seat theatre with balcony, and a new smaller, more intimate 53 seat theater building. The combination movie theatres include rooftop gardens and food and beverage establishments. The design facilitates pedestrian accessible at street grade and upper levels to allow direct access through the adjoining public park.
