Randalls Island Waterpark

New York, NY

Located at the juncture of the East River and the Harlem River navigation channel, the Randall’s Island Aquatic Entertainment Complex includes the largest indoor waterpark ever designed. Situated on 25 acres of riverfront parkland, the project consists of 18 acres of outdoor theme park and a 200,000 square foot indoor water park.

MHA designed the indoor water park to including a family arcade, administrative operations, restaurants, a spa, water slides and pools that operate year-round. A separate indoor competition training pool is also included as part of the complex for use by local communities. The indoor waterpark is spanned by a 120 ft x 600 ft clear span skylight using a lightweight foiltec skylight system.
