Trader Joe’s

Nazareth, PA

Trader Joe’s is an American chain of “fresh format” grocery stores headquartered in Monrovia, California.

MHA has worked with Trader Joe’s on multiple projects, designing the company’s processing and supply-chain presence in the northeastern United States.

Building 1 is a 500,000 square foot facility with 12,000 square feet of administrative operations offices and three separate conditioned temperatures.  The facility includes three storage environments: ammonia refrigerated cooler, conditioned, and dry goods.  A separate portion of the cooler is set aside for cheese processing as well as floral storage.

Building 2, constructed on an adjacent lot, is a 135,000 square foot facility with administrative operations offices, a cooler, two freezer environments and dry storage.
